Vers | English: Douay-Rheims | English: King James Version |
| Unto the end, in hymns, for David. | O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. |
| Hear, O God, my supplication: be attentive to my prayer, | Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. |
| To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me; | Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment. |
| for thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy. | Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. |
| In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings. | That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me. |
| For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name. | God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. |
| Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation. | Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; |
| He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search ? | Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. |
| So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day. | Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? |
| Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?
| Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
| Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. |
