| 6 | When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. | Isla as irin, mišan iga dəffər awen əššin adan wər igmed edag wa iha. |

| 9 | Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. | Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Əzəl wərgeɣ maraw alwaqan d əššin a imos? As ijiwankat awedan daɣ azal, wər z' itinəbətutəw, fəlas ihannay ənnur n əddənet. |
| 10 | But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. | Mišan as ijawankat awedan daɣ ahad, ad itinəbətutəw, fəlas wər t-iha ənnur.» |
| 11 | These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. | Dəffər as iga batu ta inna tolas: «Əmidi-nana Lazarəs insâ, ad aglaɣ a t-id-əssənkəra.» |
| 12 | Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. | Ənnan-as nalkiman-net: «Əməli, dad zamas insâ, wədi əngəm ad izzəy.» |
| 13 | Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. | Ənta Ɣaysa təmattant ən Lazarəs fəl dasan-imməgrad den, mišan əntanay a ɣilan etəs wa n alɣadat as igannu. |
| 14 | Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. | Təzzar izalalaɣ-du inn-asan: «Lazarəs aba-tu. |
| 15 | And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. | Amaran isidawat-i as wər əlle sen daɣ alwaq wədi, fəlas arat wa ənta sər-wan du-z-awəyan a sər-i təzzəgzənam. Mišan əmərədda əndawatanaq-qu.» |

| 18 | Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: | Betanəy toray-du karad kilawtan əs Yerusalam, |
| 19 | And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. | osan-in Kəl-Əlyəhud aggotnen Marta əd Maryama fəl a dasnat-in-šəwwəškənan daɣ adag n amadray-nasnat. |
| 20 | Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. | As təsla Marta as Ɣaysa ihoz-du aɣrəm, təssəlkad-as. Maryama ənta təqqim-du daɣ aɣaywan. |
| 21 | Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. | Tənna Marta i Ɣaysa: «Əməli, ənnar təlle da, wər z' iba amadray-nin. |
| 22 | But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. | Mišan əmərədda da əssanaɣ as arat kul wa təgmaya daɣ Məššina a dak-k-agu.» |
| 23 | Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. | Inn-as Ɣaysa: «Amadray-nam a d-inkər daɣ təmattant.» |
| 24 | Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. | Tənn-as Marta: «Əssanaɣ as amadray-nin a d-inkər ɣur tanakra n aytedan əzəl a ilkaman.» |
| 25 | Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: | Inn-as Ɣaysa: «Nak a imosan wa d-isankaran daɣ təmattant, əmosa təməddurt. Awedan wa sər-i izzəgzanan, wədi kud t-aba da a d-iddər. |
| 26 | And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? | Amaran awedan kul wa iddaran izzigzan sər-i, wədi wər ilkem ad t-aba. Təzzigzanaɣ arat wədi?» |
| 27 | She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. | «Awalla» tənn-as, «Əməli, əzzigzanaɣ as kay a imosan Əlməsix, təmosa Barar ən Məššina, barar was əmalan kətban as a d-as' əddənet.» |
| 28 | And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. | As təga Marta batu ta, təkka təmadrayt-net Maryama, təwat-tat s ahal tənn-as: «Əššix illa-da, isastan dər-əm.» |

| 30 | Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him. | As itagg'awen harwa da wər d-iggez aɣrəm, wər igmed edag wa daq-q-in-tosa Marta. |
| 31 | The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there. | Kəl-Əlyəhud win əhanen ehan wen əllan ɣur Maryama gammayan d əsəsməd-net, oggan-tat as du-təggad tarmad təqqab, təzzar əlkaman-as əɣilan əzəkka a təkka y a fall-as təhallu. |
| 32 | Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. | As din-tosa Maryama edag wa iha Ɣaysa togg-ay, təzzar təfataqqat ɣur daran-net, tənn-as: «Əməli, ənnar təlle da, wər z-iba amadray-nin.» |
| 33 | When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, | As tat-inay Ɣaysa təhallu, inay Kəl-Əlyəhud win dər-əs d-əddewnen əntanay da əhallin, təzzar ikna tərəmmeq, əɣšadan man-net. |
| 34 | And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. | Inn-asan: «Məni tu-təgam?» «Əməli» ənnan-as, «Ayaw ənəy.» |
| 35 | Jesus wept. | Ad ihallu Ɣaysa. |
| 36 | Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! | Ənnan aytedan: «Ənawat awa dər togda tara ta iga y aləs-wa.» |
| 37 | And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? | Mišan ənnan wiyyad daɣ-san: «Aləs wa issəswadan əmədderɣəl, wərgeɣ ifrâg a ad igdəl i Lazarəs təmattant?» |
| 38 | Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. | Ikna Ɣaysa tərəmmeq tolas, təzzar ikk' əzəkka. Awa əzəkka imosan əzzənəf n akazam, amaran tədbaq-qu təhunt zəwwərat. |
| 39 | Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. | Inna Ɣaysa: «Əkkəsat-du təhunt!» Tənn-as Marta ta n tamadrayt n aləs w' aba: «Əməli, aləs di əmərədda il'adu, fəlas əzəl-net wa n əkkoz awa d anabal.» |
| 40 | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Inn-as Ɣaysa: «Wərgeɣ ənneɣ-am as təzzəgzana ad tənəyaɣ tarna ən Məššina?» |
| 41 | Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. | Təzzar tətawakkas-du təhunt. Iswad Ɣaysa daɣ jənnawan inna: «Abba, əggodayaɣ-ak as di-təqbala təwatray-nin. |
| 42 | And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. | Nak iman-in əssanaɣ as faw da təqqabbala šiwatriwen-in. Mišan əššewalaɣ fəl əddəlil ən tiddawat ta di-təɣalayɣalayat da, fəl ad əzzəgzənan as kay a di-d-izammazalan.» |
| 43 | And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. | Dəffər as iga batu ta, idkal əməsli-net inna: «Lazarəs, əgməd-du!» |
| 44 | And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. | Igmad-du ənəmmettən wa nad, əttalan fassan-net əd daran-net daɣ təsəwad, təlsa təbdoq udəm-net əntada. Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Əkkəsat-as itul tayyim-tu ad ijəwənkət.» |
| 45 | Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. | Kəl Əlyəhud aggotnen a d-osanen Maryama ənayan arat wa, əzzəgzanan əs Ɣaysa. |
| 46 | But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. | Mišan əglan wiyyad daɣ-san əkkan Farisaytan əmalan-asan arat wa iga Ɣaysa da. |
| 47 | Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. | Təzzar sassagan limaman win zawwarnen, əd Farisaytan əməni ən muzaran ənnan: «Ma za nagu? Aləs wa itaggu alɣalamaten aggotnen.» |
| 48 | If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. | As tu-noyya itaggu aratan win, a sər-əs əzzəgzənan aytedan kul, təzzar asin-du Kəl-Ərrum addagdagan Ehan ən Məššina, əzədan aɣrəf-nana. |
| 49 | And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, | Inkar-du iyyan daɣ-san igan esəm Kayif, imosan əlimam wa zəwwaran daɣ awatay wen, inn-asan: «Kawanay wər təgrem wala. |
| 50 | Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. | Wər din təgrem as ofa ad ammat awedan iyyanda daɣ adag ən tamattay fəl ad wər immut əɣrəf ketnet?» |
| 51 | And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; | Batu ta iga da wər tat-iga gar-es əd man-net, kalar tišit-net əlimam wa zəwwaran daɣ awatay wen, a fəl igraw əlwəlayat n as Ɣaysa kundaba immut fəl əddəlil n əɣrəf ketnet. |
| 52 | And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. | Amaran wərge aɣrəf wen ɣas a fəl tu-z-iba, kalar bararan ən Məššina kul win wazawaznen a du-z-iššidəw ag-en zun təɣəssa iyyadda. |
| 53 | Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. | Əzəl wen da daɣ əgan muzaran ən Kəl-Əlyəhud tanat ta n tanaɣay-net. |
| 54 | Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples. | Awen da fəlas ab-as itallam Ɣaysa dad ira daɣ Kəl-Əlyəhud. Igmad akal wen, ikka iyyan akal iyyan inimahazan əd taneray, daɣ əɣrəm igan esəm Efrayəm, iqqim daɣ-as den da ənta əd nalkiman-net. |
| 55 | And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. | Azzaman en amud ən Kəl-Əlyəhud wa n Akkay ihoz-du. A du-tagazzayan aytedan aggotnen n akal wen kul, takkin-du Yerusalam, fəl ad əzzəzdəgan dat əmud. |
| 56 | Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast? | Saggadan i Ɣaysa tinəmənnin gar-essan daɣ Ahan ən Məššina: «Kawanay ak ma tənnam, tordam as wər du-z-asu amud wa fadda?» |
| 57 | Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him. | Ənta ilimaman win zawwarnen əd Farisaytan omaran aytedan as i issanan edag wa iha Ɣaysa isaffagg-ay fəl ad attarmas. |
