Vers | English: King James Version | Tamajaq Portions |
| After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. | |
| Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. | As ig' awen ihoz-du əmud ən Kəl-Əlyəhud was itawannu wa n təkarbanen. |
| His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. | Ənnan-as mədrayan-net: «Əfəl da takka akal wa n Yahudəya fəl ad ənəyan nalkiman-nak əššəɣəlan win tətagga. |
| For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. | Awedan as ira fall-as tagu masnat wər išəqqəl daɣ əssir. Dad zama as tətaggaɣ aratan ogdanen d awa, wədi agu təməwit ta fəl tan-z-inəy awedan kul.» |
| For neither did his brethren believe in him. | Ənta imədrayan ən Ɣaysa iman-nasan da wər sər-əs əzzəgzanan. |
| Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. | Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Assaɣat ta-nin harwada wər du-tewed. Kawanay amaran wər təzlayam assaɣaten. |
| The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. | Wər t-illa əddəlil fəl kawan-za-təgzər əddənet. Nak amaran əddənet təgzar-i fəlas əmosa təgəyya y arak mazalan win daɣ-as tagginen. |
| Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. | Akkiwat amud wen kawanay. Nak wər t-əkke fəlas assaɣat-in harwada wər du-tewed.» |
| When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. | As dasan-iɣrad tənna n aratan win, təzzar iqqim-du daɣ Galilaya. |
| But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. | Dər iga awen da ya as əkkan mədrayan-net amud, ikk-ay ənta da, eges iki wa zun as iga daɣ əssir, fəlas wər issəkna iman-net y aytedan. |
| Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? | Itaggu əmud den da sasaggalan-tu muzaran ən Kəl-Əlyəhud gannan: «Ma iga aləs a?» |
| And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. | As iga awen tənkâr təmazaq gər aytedan daɣ talɣa ən Ɣaysa. Wiyyad za gannan: «Aləs di olâɣ.» Wiyyad amaran gannan: «Kalar əsəxrək fadda a itaggu tamattay.» |
| Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. | Mišan wər t-illa awedan ihalan amagrad dat aytedan daɣ talɣa-net, fəl təksəda ən muzaran ən Kəl-Əlyəhud. |
| Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. | As isaggaraygaray əmud iggəzzay Ɣaysa s Ahan ən Məššina ad isasaɣru aytedan. |
| And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? | Arat wa iqqan iɣafawan ən Kəl-Əlyəhud wəllen har əqqiman gannin: «Məni esaway was issan awedan wa aratan win, ənta wər iɣra?» |
| Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. | Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Əsəssəɣri-nin wərge nak a d-ifal, kalar wa di-d-izammazalan a d-ifal. |
| If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. | Awedan kul wa iran ad ammazal tara ən Məššina, wədi ad issən kud əsəssəɣri wa ənta a d-ifal wala deɣ nak t-id-iktan gər-i əd man-in. |
| He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. | Awedan wa iššewalan s esəm-net ənta ɣas, wədi iman-net as igammay ətəwəsəɣmar. Mišan awedan wa išɣalan daɣ əsənnəfiləl ən tarna ən wa t-id-issəglan, wədi tidət a immal, wər daɣ-as t-illa a imosan lahan. |
| Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? | Musa wərgeɣ ikf-iwan əlqanun? Eges əlqanun wa wər kawan-iha i das-ilkaman. Mafel as təram a di-tanɣim?» |
| The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? | Tənn-as tamattay: «Kay aggəsuf a kay-izdaɣan. Ma imos wa iran tenaɣay-nak?» |
| Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. | Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Nak təlməɣjujat iyyadda ɣas a əmmozala, mišan əqqanan-as ɣafawan-nawan. |
| Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. | Musa omar-kawan s əsəmmənkəd ən bararan-nawan, (as ig' awen da imarawan-nana a t-id-əssəntanen, wərge Musa), amaran wər fall-awan imos lahan ad təsəmmənkədam barar daɣ əzəl wa n təsanfawt-nawan. |
| If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? | Ənəyat za, dad imos as itawasamankad barar daɣ əzəl ən təsanfawt fəl ləkkum y Əlqanun wa n Musa, mafel as kawan-iha alham-in fəlȧs əgeɣ y awedan əzuzəy ikmâlan daɣ əzəl ən təsanfawt? |
| Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. | Ayyiwat axakam n aratan s awa təhannayam daɣ azzahir. Kalar xakkamat-tan əs təməwit təzilalaɣat.» |
| Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? | As t-oggan arat daɣ aytedan win Yerusalam ad gannin: «Aləs wen wərgeɣ ənta as əran muzaran-nana tenaɣay-net? |
| But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? | Amaran ənta da əmərədda iššewalan da dat awedan kul, wər t-illa i das-igannin wala! Ak immikkan imuzaran-nanaɣ a sallakannen as ənta a imosan Əlməsix? |
| Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. | Mišan ya aləs wa nəssan akal wa d-ifal, as ig' awen Əlməsix assaɣa wa du-z-asu, wər t-illa awedan a z-issənan da du-z-ifəl.» |
| Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. | Ɣaysa harwa da isasaɣru daɣ Ahan ən Məššina, idkal əməsli-net wəllen inna: «Təzdayam-i təssanam sas d-əhe! As ig' awen da wər d-ose gər-i əd man-in: mišan wa di-d-issəglan tidət a imos amaran wər tu-təzdayam. |
| But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. | Nak əzdayaq-qu, fəlas ənta sər-wan d-əfala, amaran ənta di-d-izammazalan.» |
| Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. | Təzzar əgmayan d abbaz-net mišan wər tan-iha i t-idasan, fəlas alwaq-net a du-wər-newed harwada. |
| And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? | As ig'awen da ya izzigzan sər-əs a aggen daɣ tiddawat ten, gannin: «Tordam as kud d-osa Əlməsix ifrag igi n alɣalamaten ogarnen šin iga aləs wa?» |
| The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. | Arat wa simətəktikan aytedan daɣ tiddawat ta, əslan-tu Farisaytan. Ənkaran limaman win zawwarnen, əd Farisaytan əssəglan-du imagazan n Ahan ən Məššina y ad abəzan Ɣaysa. |
| Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. | Inn-asan Ɣaysa: «Nak harwa da əddewa dər-wan har arat ən tamert, dəffər adi ad akka wa di-d-izammazalan. |
| Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. | A di-təsasaggalam mišan wər di-za-təgrəwam fəlas edag wa z'akka wər təfregam iki-net.» |
| Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? | Ad tinəməsəstinan Kəl-Əlyəhud, gannin: «Ma imos adag wa z'akku daq-qu wər za nəgrəw? Meqqal Kəl-Əlyəhud win wazawaznen daɣ kallan win tama a z-akku iggəz-tan amaran ad isasaɣru aytedan win wər nəmos Kəl-Əlyəhud? |
| What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? | Ma imos almaɣna ən batu ta iga da, as inna: "A di-təsasaggalam mišan wər di-za-təgrəwam, fəlas wər təfregam iki n adag wa əhe"?» |
| In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. | As d-ewad əzəl wa ilkaman, s ənta a imosan əzəl wa zəwwaran daɣ əmud, ibdad Ɣaysa dat tiddawat iqqərra s əməsli idkâlan inna: «Awedan kul wa iffudan akkiwet-i-du ad ašəw. |
| He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. | Awedan kul wa sər-i izzəgzanan "ad əngəyan gərwan n aman win sidurnen daɣ əwəl-net", s əmmək wa imal Akatab.» |
| (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) | Infas wa Zəddigan fəl imməgrad Ɣaysa den, s ənta a z'əgrəwan aytedan win sər-əs əzzəgzannen. Azzaman en Infas wa Zəddigan wər itawagraw fəlas Ɣaysa harwada wər igrew adkul. |
| Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. | Edes n aytedan ən tiddawat ten, as əslan i batuten šin iga Ɣaysa da ənnan: «Illikan as aləs wa ənta a imosan Ənnəbi wa ittəmalan!» |
| Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? | Ənnan wəyyad: «Əlməsix awa!» Ənnan-asan wəyyad: «Manəmmək as du-z-igməd Əlməsix Galilaya? |
| Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? | Akatab wərgeɣ a inna: "Əzzurrəyya ən Dawəd, əd təɣrəmt ən Betlexem s ənta as kala daɣ-as iɣsar Dawəd, a du-z-igməd Əlməsix".» |
| So there was a division among the people because of him. | Əmmək wen daɣ as təzun tiddawat daɣ talɣa ən Ɣaysa. |
| And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. | Wiyyad daɣ-san əran abbaz-net, mišan wər tan-iha is t-idas əfus-net. |
| Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? | Təzzar əglan magazan n Ahan ən Məššina əqqalan ilimaman win zawwarnen, əd Farisaytan. Osan-in ɣas ənnan-asan: «Mafel wər t-idu-tewayam?» |
| The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. | Ənnan-asan magazan: «Wər kala itawanay awedan igan awal olan əd wa iga aləs en.» |
| Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? | Ənnan-asan Farisaytan: «Daɣ adi kawanay da toyyam iman-nawan tətawasaxrakam? |
| Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? | Əssənat ill-ay i sər-əs izzigzanan daɣ-na? |
| But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. | Wər sər-əs izzəgzan ar tiddawat n aljahilan wər nəssen wala daɣ Attawrit, as ketnasan təwar-tan tulɣant.» |
| Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) | Issəstan-tan Nikodemos imosan iyyan daɣ Farisaytan s ənta din-osan Ɣaysa dat awen, inn-asan: |
| Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? | «Əššəriɣa-nana wər t-iha ad itəwəxkəm awedan iket wər iššewal, itəwəssən awa daɣ iššokal.» |
| They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. | Ənnan-as: «Galilaya kay təlat kay da? Aɣru Ikataban ad tənəya kay iman-nak as wər t-illa ənnəbi du-z-igmədan Galilaya.» |
| And every man went unto his own house. | Dəffər awen iffəzzat əmənəy, ikk'awedan kul ehan-net. |
