| 12 | And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. | Ca biir mbooloo ma ñu ngi doon déeyante, di wax ci ay mbiram. Ñii naan: «Nit ku baax la.» Ñee naan: «Déedéet, day nax nit ñi.» |

| 15 | And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? | Yawut ya nag jaaxle, daldi ne: «Nu waa jii def ba xam lii lépp, moom mi jàngul?» |
| 16 | Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. | Yeesu daldi leen tontu ne: «Li may jàngale, jógewul ci man, waaye ci ki ma yónni la jóge. |
| 17 | If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. | Ku fas yéenee wéy ci bëgg-bëggu Yàlla, dina xam ndax sama njàngale ci Yàlla la jóge, walla ci sama coobare. |
| 18 | He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. | Nit kiy wax ci coobareem nag, day wut a màggal boppam, waaye kiy wut a màggal ki ko yónni, dëgg rekk lay wax te jubadiwul fenn. |
| 19 | Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? | Xanaa du Musaa moo leen jox ndigali Yàlla yi? Waaye kenn ci yéen sàmmu ko! Lu tax ngeen bëgg maa rey?» |
| 20 | The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? | Mbooloo ma ne ko: «Xanaa dangaa am ay rab! Ku lay wut a rey?» |
| 21 | Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. | Yeesu ne leen: «Benn jaloore rekk laa def, te yéen ñépp ngeen jaaxle! |
| 22 | Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. | Li leen Musaa jox ndigalu xarafal gune yi --jógewul kat ci Musaa; mi ngi tàmbalee ci seen maami cosaan — moo tax ba ngeen nangoo xarafal nit ci bésu noflaay bi. |
| 23 | If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? | Bu ngeen manee xarafal nit ci bésu noflaay bi, ngir bañ a wàcc yoonu Musaa, lu tax nag ngeen mere ma, ndax li ma ci wéral nitu lëmm? |
| 24 | Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. | Bàyyileen di àtte ci ni ngeen di gise, te di àtte dëgg.» |
| 25 | Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? | Am na ci waa Yerusalem ñu doon wax naan: «Xanaa du nit kii lañuy wut a rey? |
| 26 | But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? | Xool-leen, mi ngi waaraate ci biir nit ñi, te kenn du ko wax dara. Ndax sunu kilifa yi dañoo xam ne, mooy Almasi bi? |
| 27 | Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. | Waaye waa ji, xam nanu fu mu jóge, te saa su Almasi bi dee dikk, kenn du xam fu mu bàyyikoo.» |
| 28 | Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. | Yeesu di jàngale ca kër Yàlla ga, daldi wax ca kaw ne: «Ndax xam ngeen ma te xam fi ma jóge? | 34 | Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. | Dingeen ma seet, waaye dungeen ma gis; te dungeen man a dem fa may nekk.» |
| 35 | Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? | Yawut ya di laajante ci seen biir naan: «Fu muy dem fu nu ko dul fekk? | 36 | What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? | Lan la baat yii mu wax di tekki: “Dingeen ma seet waaye dungeen ma gis,” ak: “Dungeen man a dem fa may nekk?”» |
| 37 | In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. | Bés ba mujjoon ca màggal ga moo ca ëpp solo; keroog Yeesu taxaw, wax ca kaw ne: «Ku mar, na ñëw ci man; ku gëm, na naan! | 38 | He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. | |

| 46 | The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. | Alkaati ya ne leen: «Kenn musul a waxe ni nit kooku!» |
| 47 | Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? | Noonu Farisen ya laaj leen: «Mbaa naxuñu leen, yéen itam? |
| 48 | Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? | Ndax am na kenn ci saraxalekat yi walla ci Farisen yi ku ko gëm? Déedéet. |

| 52 | They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. | Ñu tontu ko ne: «Mbaa du yaw itam dangaa bokk ci diiwaanu Galile? Gëstul, kon dinga xam ne, benn yonent musul a jóge Galile.» |
